If you are familiar with the Couch to 5k program…
This program is for those who are able to complete at least 25 yards of continuous swimming. Those who are comfortable in the water, but are looking for some additional stroke development. Those who swam for exercise in the past, but are looking for a reason to get back into it. Those who need instruction on how to swim for exercise. Those interested in joining the Red River Masters Swim Team, but aren’t quite ready. The goal of this program is for everyone to be able to complete 500 yards of continuous swimming. We will give everyone an opportunity to complete a 500 yard time trial at the end of the session.
This program will begin on Wednesday, August 16, and run for a total of 8-one hour sessions. Participants will participate in a coached workout/instructional session each Wednesday at 5:00 pm. Sessions will be taught by our Masters Coaches. In addition to weekly, Wednesday night sessions, participants will also have the opportunity to participate in Noon (Monday/Wednesday) and Evening (Tuesday/Thursday at 6:30 pm) Masters workouts. (Home work will be given and extra practice will be highly encouraged!)
Cost: $75.00 Members / 90.00 Non-Members / Each participant will receive a “Couch to 500” swim cap
